Meet Lisa Ferguson
For more than twenty-five years, Lisa Ferguson has served as a bilingual (English and Spanish-speaking) early childhood education professional, specializing in language and literacy, math development, and play. She has worked as a classroom teacher, professional development facilitator, coach, university instructor, mentor, and conference and keynote speaker. Lisa was also a demonstration teacher for national training videos developed in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Education and Erikson Institute, showcasing effective instructional practices in early mathematics.
In addition to her work in education, Lisa has served in children’s ministry in a variety of roles, including as Children’s Ministry Director at Community Christian Church’s Lincoln Park location in Chicago, where she developed and launched an innovative Bible curriculum inspired by schools in Italy. She also home-educated her two children, who are now adults.
